L E A is back with another pop punk anthem to end 2022. “FTS (Sick of This)” features Bemo Rouge, Emo Nite New Orleans DJ, and is catchy, high-energy, and wraps feelings of old school pop punk all into a song. After a successful single release in August for “I Guess I Like You Anyway,” L E A shows she is able to create work that is cohesive and create a sound that is quintessentially her despite only releasing singles and one EP thus far into her career.

The Los Angeles based artist released her first single in 2016 and originally wrote music that was more pop-leaning. Her music took a slight turn into the pop punk realm we know and love L E A for in 2021 with the release of her Jersey Boy EP and cover of Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop.” In the second half of 2022 alone, L E A has done a guest DJ set with Emo Night Brooklyn, been featured on Apple Music’s New in Alternative playlist, and played a sold out When We Were Young Fest sideshow. While it sounds like a dream, breaking into the scene hasn’t always been a breeze for the singer. “FTS (Sick of This)” is a reflection on previously struggling as an artist but knowing everything is soon about to change for the better.

“This song is about knowing you’re about to break into the scene as an alternative artist, getting ready to prove to people who told you [that] you wouldn’t make it while struggling financially and mentally to balance it all alone,” said L E A.

L E A has transformed into the full package throughout her career. Her unique sound and aspects of herself, like her blue and green hair and incredible stage fashion, help her stand out and create a sense of identity that is difficult to settle into at a young age. L E A has a new EP coming in February 2023 with very special guests; pop punk lovers and fans Charlotte Sands, Magnolia Park, Meet Me @ the Altar, and Sleeping with Sirens won’t want to miss it.
