Emei Releases New Music Video for “That Girl”

Viral alt pop meets rock Chinese American singer Emei releases a new music video for “That Girl” on January 19th, 2023.
The video is directed by Say Mirigian and features the singer’s band, Them Fantasies. The one-takes, band centered video shows Emei’s theatrical side and love to fun, colorful storytelling. The music video comes after a successful 2022 for the singer with multiple viral songs on Tiktok and the release of her EP, End of an Era.
Emei has rapidly built a fan base over the past year, leaning on her 10+ years of stage experience. Her dripping vocals, colorful lyrics, and slicing wit invites audiences into her world and leads them through hyper-relatable musings on adult life. Emei competed on Chinese Idol at only 15-years-old and placed third place. She developed incredible stage presence through months of stadium shows and performing on Dancing with the Stars of China. The singer began releasing music on American platforms once Covid-19 hit, and she has been unstoppable since. Emei just released her debut EP, End of an Era, in October 2022 that racked in over 10 million streams in a short time, making her a new artist to watch.
