Banshee releases “MEN ARE TRASH” on April 28th.

After experiences of abuse and sexual assault while playing with bands in her local scene, Banshee, aka Rachel Knight, decided to move to Los Angeles to spend all of her time on her newly created music project where she is the sole writer and producer. In 2022, she released her debut album FAIRY METAL and received praise from outlets such as Loudwire, Alternative Press, and Revolver. Banshee played her first headline show on January 13th, 2023 in Los Angeles where she raised nearly $2,000 for RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization.

"The ‘manosphere’ is radicalizing young men at an alarming rate, glorifying violence against women, and teaching men that women are subordinate,” says Banshee on “MEN ARE TRASH.” “They feel oppressed by feminism, especially sentiments like ‘men are trash’–– but ‘men are trash’ is a reaction to misogyny. I'm so tired of men blaming their violence on women, and expecting to be coddled. If you act like trash, you're trash."

Fans can expect more news from Banshee this summer.
